STUART EVEY
Stuart Evey, former chairman of ESPN,
first saw the card on his visit to Chicago on August 9, 2004. Stuart
was
so
impressed
by the potential of the card that he agreed to sign on as an official
marketing consultant for WinTexasHoldemCard.com that same day.
An astute and experienced businessman, Stuart immediately grasped the marketing
potentials inherent in the card, in particular its vast potential for attracting
new customers to gaming businesses and Internet sites.
Before helping to launch the ESPN sports channel, Stuart was a senior executive
with the Getty Oil Company, a position he held for 26 years. Sensing a new direction
for televised media, Stuart agreed to fund a fledgling 24-hour sports cable channel
nobody had ever heard of, and the rest is history. In addition to overseeing
the incredible expansion of ESPN, Stuart also negotiated the company's sale to
ABC in 1985.
